Honda Goldwing suffered a known problem with a starter relay that was stuck in the on position. Bike was taken to the local Honda dealer who installed an OEM Honda part relay at a cost of $59. for the relay plus big bucks for the diagnostic, etc.
Within two months the relay went bad even though the bike had limited miles on it. I contacted the dealer who said they would contact Honda to see if you would guarantee the part. The dealer called to say Honda would not guarantee the part because they could not be sure whether or not the part was installed properly even though the part was installed by their authorized dealer at his business. This is even though Honda charges about 5-6 times what the part should really cost.
This reflects poorly on Honda and their respect for their customers and also their dealer repair technicians.
